Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. In the 2021 to 2022 financial year, schools will receive £1345 for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years. Schools will also receive £2,345 for each looked-after pupil who has been looked after for 1 day or more, was adopted from care on or after 30 December 2005, or left care under a special guardianship order or a residence order.

Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However, we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. Schools are required to publish online information about how they have used the Premium. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.
